USPGA PROFILE
The Dane should be arriving at the USPGA as the new Open champion. But a costly two-stroke penalty on day one and a late collapse in the final round allowed Ben Curtis to snatch the Claret Jug from his grasp. Bjorn followed up that heartache with another second place at the Nissan Irish Open so he's clearly playing some superb golf even though he probably feels the gods are against him. The Ryder Cup star is playing in his seventh USPGA and will hope to match or improve upon his third place in the 2000 event at Medinah. Bjorn is clearly one of the form horses and if this aggressive golfer gets the right breaks he could just lift the Wanamaker Trophy. The fly in the ointment is the recurrence of a neck injury which hampered him at last week's Nordic Open.
