EARLY BIRD BEATS TIGER
An unusual thing happened to Tiger Woods in Rochester on Tuesday - he was beaten onto the course by someone.
As he always seems to for majors, Woods teed off at 6.30am with Mark O'Meara in practice for the United States PGA championship starting at Oak Hill on Thursday.
But that was 20 minutes later than Thomas Bjorn, a clear declaration of intent from the Dane that he badly wants to make up for the bitter disappointment of losing the Open from three ahead with four to play last month.
"Nothing will make up for it until I win a major," said Bjorn.
This is his next chance and it comes on a course with fond memories for Europe - they won the Ryder Cup at Oak Hill in 1995.
