USPGA PROFILE
The Swede has been a long way below his best for most of the season, managing just two top tens on the US Tour. And in the majors, despite making all three cuts, he hasn't recorded a top 25. Although Parnevik's best major performances have come in the Open where he's twice been a runner-up, there's a school of thought that he might make the big breakthrough in the USPGA. The Swede's five US Tour victories proves he can beat class fields and he has the same profile of former USPGA winners. His lacklustre form this season suggests that this isn't the year to back him but given his liking for the unorthodox it would be no surprise to see the man with the whacky clothes and turned-up cap go well.
