USPGA PROFILE
The Dubliner has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of seasons and is really starting to make his mark on the big stage. He was the early leader in the US Masters back in April and although never threatening to win he did well to hold on for fifth. He added another top ten at the US Open and continued his rise with a top five at the Open where a par at the last would have put him into a play-off. Harrington now has four top five finishes in the majors, although he's suffered huge frustration by finishing runner-up in regular European Tour events on no less than 15 occasions. He hasn't made any impression in his three previous USPGAs but he has the game and temperament to win a major and is one of Europe's leading hopes to win this year's tournament.
