USPGA PROFILE
After his bid for the calendar Grand Slam was literally blown off course by the winds at Muirfield, Tiger looks for a sweep of the three American majors by winning his third USPGA title. Two years ago Tiger became the first man to win back-to-back USPGA trophies since Densmore Shute in 1937. In 2000 the world number one beat Bob May by one shot in a thrilling play-off and the year before he held off fast-finishing Sergio Garcia. Woods wasn't a factor at Atlanta Athletic Club last year but Hazeltine should be much more up his street with its greater length. After his superb wins in the US Masters and US Open this year and victory last weekend in the Buick Open, a hat-trick here is very much on the cards.
