Hole 1 (460 yds, par 4): Demanding tee shot with strategically placed fairway bunkers that will require precision and length off the tee. The approach is into a slightly elevated green.
Hole 2 (435 yds, par 4): Dogleg left that needs an aggressive drive cutting the corner, or a conservative drive down the middle. Short iron approach to a green, is peppered by deep bunkers.
Hole 3 (636 yds, par 5): A hole to suit Tiger with massive length. An undulating landing area requires luck for the best lie while approach to the green is easier from the left.
Hole 4 (196 yds, par 3): The first short hole has a challenging green, protected by deep bunkers at the front with two severe levels resulting in many treacherous downhill putts.
Hole 5 (412 yds, par 4): Distance is not a factor here but the pear-shaped elevated green is tricky to hit as it is guarded by three deep, greenside bunkers.
Hole 6 (405 yds, par 4): Trees line the left side of the fairway which also slopes left so shaped drive from the right is ideal while a pond guards the green.
Hole 7 (542 yds, par 5): The shortest par five has a generous landing area which allows for a big drive to go for the green in two. Greenside bunkers and a pond wait for the errant approach.
Hole 8 (178 yds, par 3): A small green protected by water all along the right side, bunkers on the left and the putting surface slopes towards the water hazard.
Hole 9 (436 yds, par 4): A drive down the right is ideal as the fairway slopes left towards thick rough. An undulating green offers scope for tricky pin positions.
Hole 10 (410 yds, par 4): Dogleg-left gives way to a severe downhill approach to a double-level green with a big bunker on the left and the lake beyond.
Hole 11 (597 yds, par 5): A drive up the hill with a cluster of mounds on the left side of the fairway. Bunkers are placed to trap the long second shot and a grassy hollow also surrounds the green.
Hole 12 (465 yds, par 4): One of the toughest par fours with a pond on the right waiting for wild drives and tress ringing the tight green.
Hole 13 (204 yds, par 3): A long green complete with a variety of slopes make this a tough green for putting and a grass hollow behind the green will trap a strong shot.
Hole 14 (357 yds, par 4): A short par four that can be driven with a spectacular tee shot. Best approach for the two-shotters is from the left as a big bunker protects the right where the pin is often placed.
Hole 15 (586 yds, par 5): A massive drive gives the player the chance to reach the three-tiered green in two. But there are a host of bunkers just in front of the green which may force many players to lay up.
Hole 16 (402 yds, par 4): One of the most telling holes with water down both left and right off the tee and a green that juts into Lake Hazeltine's to provide an intimidating target.
Hole 17 (182 yds, par 3): Everything rests on hitting the green, slightly elevated and bowl-like because water and sand lurks all around the putting surface.
Hole 18 (457 yds, par 4): A long and demanding final hole with a fairway lined with with bunkers on either side and more traps close to a green with several levels.
