Angel Cabrera (69-285): "I never thought this was possible. I feel great. It's a great moment for me, I can't believe it. I watched all the majors on TV when I was a kid and I never thought I would be here at this moment. It is very difficult to describe. Probably tomorrow, when I wake up with this trophy beside me in my bed, I will realize that I have won the US Open. I definitely usually play very well in the U.S. Open. Most of the time I'm not making any putts, but this week it was like everybody was missing the putts. So that gave me an advantage."
Tiger Woods (72-286): Well, finishing second is never fun. You play so hard, and it's just disappointing. My last four majors, I've -- 1, 1, 2, 2, not terrible, but could have been a little bit better. I felt like I hit the ball pretty good all week. My pace on the greens, I thought, was really good, and I just had one three-putt all week."
Jim Furyk (70-286): "I played well all day. I struck the ball well. I hit a lot of good putts. I just wasn't able to dig it out of the rough and get the ball on the green on two on 17, and in the end that's going to be the difference. (Asked if he regretted not laying up on 17) No. The play I made was the play. Now if I went back, I wouldn't hit left of the green for damn sure. But, no, it was the play. I would stick by that play through and through with the way the wind conditions were and the pin position was. In my mind, I made the right decision. I shouldn't have hit the ball so far left, but I'm surprised it went as far as it did."
Nicolas Fasth (70-287): "I'm obviously proud of how I did out there today. Not everything went my way, and it never does; you've just got to find a way to handle it. And today was a good score. All of my scores this week have been all right. It's difficult, but somebody is going to play well. And when I play well - not well enough, it seems but nearly and, I'm happy. I'm driving the ball fantastic, and even the putting started to come back toward the end; that's what let me down earlier today."
Nick Dougherty (71-290): "Coming off the ninth green I thought if I could play the back nine in three under I would have a chance. I played a lot better today. Played well tee to green and made putts here and there. Missed a couple of chances. Little disappointed to finish on that score as I think I needed to finish one better to get in the Masters. But proud of what I did on the 18th. It has been a tough week for me emotionally. I was exhausted last night after playing with Tiger and have never felt like that coming off the course before. But I am delighted. I have done myself proud this week. I am extremely pleased with the progress I have made."
Ian Poulter (77-298): "Totally demoralized. I played the short holes so bad. That is through trying to play a knock down shot and I have pulled a couple and pushed a couple. That has cost me 11 shots. That's what happens when you miss the fairway. But it is the same for everybody. Don't miss the fairways, don't miss the greens. I am playing so well, it is a matter of time right now. I am playing as well as I have played for a long time. I have enough events left to have a mega-season."
