Zach Johnson has enjoyed a golden period this spring as he became the latest player to join the Major-winning club after a gritty success at Augusta National in the Masters. He followed that up a little over a month later by claiming his second AT&T Classic (formerly the BellSouth) at Sugarloaf thanks to a playoff defeat of Ryuji Imada. He arrives at Oakmont with confidence at an all-time high and it will be a massive disappointment if he does not improve on a pretty moderate US Open record to date. Johnson readily admits he enjoys the 'grind' and thrives in tough conditions so he should be in his element this week.
