Sabbatini has enjoyed an excellent first half of the 2007 campaign with a recent win at Colonial following a playoff to go with a whole host of top-10 finishes. One of those included finishing runner-up at the Masters in April and a repeat of that sort of form suggests the South African has what it takes to lift a major title sooner rather than later. Five attempts at the US Open have been little short of shambolic but the confident Sabbatini has to be considered a contender on what he has shown this year.
