Donald's composed and accurate game should be ideal for the punishingly tight set-ups of the US Open though to date he has only made three appearances. But a solid 12th to Geoff Ogilvy at Winged Foot last year showed his ability to handle testing conditions. Though still only boasting four tournament victories on both sides of the Atlantic, Donald was again in the top 10 at this year's US Masters in April and was narrowly beaten into second place later that month in the Byron Nelson. Short but straight off the tee, Donald is aiming to become the first Briton to win the title since Tony Jacklin back in 1970.
