US OPEN PROFILE
Perry continues to be one of the Tour's elite players and two more victories in 2005 have taken his career tally to nine on Tour. The second came at Colonial recently where he once again gave a masterclass in ball-striking to rout his field by seven shots and claim another plaid jacket. He is still searching for a major title but his current play from tee to green would give him every chance in this event. His form is not dissimilar to that of two years ago when he finished an excellent third to Jim Furyk at Olympia Fields.
