Donald could well spearhead the European challenge this year at Pinehurst No.2 following a sensational 12 months in both Europe and America. Twice a winner on the former Tour, Donald has impressed even more with his exploits this spring in the States with superb performances at both the Players Championship and the Masters. His only effort previously in a US Open yielded at top-20 finish and that could be bettered considerably as he is now twice the player.
