DiMarco has suffered heartbreak in the last two majors having been beaten in play-offs at both the PGA Championship and the Masters. He lost little in defeat on those occasions and the experience could well put him on the brink again of breaking into that exclusive club. Instantly recognisable with that awkward but effective 'claw' putting grip, he has a very solid record at the US Open - those recent displays in the majors suggests that he will be aiming much higher.
