US OPEN PROFILE
The elegant-swinging Cink blew his best chance to date of a major title at this event back in 2001 when his short putt on the 72nd hole slid agonisingly wide - successfully converted, he would have been in the play-off with Retief Goosen and Mark Brooks. The confidence seemed to desert him and a lengthy winless period followed which eventually ended with two titles in 2004 at Hilton Head and the WGC NEC Invitational. Well capable of getting into a challenging position again, he does need to step up on his recent outings in 2005.
