| Jim Furyk joined the golfing elite last year with an emotional victory in this event at Olympia Fields in Illinois. 2004 has been somewhat of a non-starter after taking the decision to undergo surgery on a wrist problem and the recuperation has been lengthy. Furyk has not been seen competitively since missing the cut at the Sony Open way back in January and it is asking a lot of him here to put in a decent title defence. |
