FURYK SAYS NO TO TOPLESS BLONDE

By Mark Garrod, PA Sport Golf Correspondent, Chicago

Jim Furyk turned down a blonde offering roses as he was trying to win the United States Open in Chicago. She was topless at the time.

The incident came as Furyk, battling for his first major title, came to the 14th green holding a three-stroke lead over Australian Stephen Leaney.

It did not put him off his stride. He had hit his approach to within three feet of the flag and made it to be four clear with four holes to play.

The blonde was escorted away.
