Tiger Woods (67): "Hopefully I can come out tomorrow with the same patience. It's always nice to end the day with a good putt and today's the best I've putted all week."
Sergio Garcia (68): "After the third I started playing very well and missed only three fairways. You've got to be patient. You know you are going to make some bogeys and you've just got to make the damage as little as perfect. Conditions were almost perfect and you see how tough this course is. It's unbelievable, very challenging and asks for everything you have in your bag. Playing a US Open is something you learn with age and I'm fortunate in
learning it earlier than some other guys."
Nick Faldo (70): "Now I've got to put on the blinkers. It takes a lot of concentration here with the crowd going nuts - they're amazing."
Colin Montgomerie (75): "I didn't putt very well and that's why it was as bad as it was. I missed everything and that's really disappointing considering the way I've
been putting for the last month. You can't compete putting like that."
