Injuries and a subsequent reduced schedule have seen Love disappear off the radar in the last couple of seasons but he remains a class act. And he certainly has the pedigree to add a US Open crown to his 1997 USPGA title. Love went close to victory in the 1995 US Open at Shinnecock when tied fourth and even closer the following year when tied second at Oakland Hills after three-putting the final green to finish one behind winner Steve Jones. He was also seventh last year. Despite a quiet season to date he's still managed to make the top five in two of his last four starts and was the first round leader at the Masters before finishing tied 14th. He could make a mockery of his 50/1 odds.
