An emerging force on the US Tour in the last few years, DiMarco's most noted Major performances have come at Augusta where he's finished 10th and 12th in the last two US Masters. But he first made an impact in the Majors on his US Open debut at Olympic Club in 1998. DiMarco had played his way into contention nearing the back nine on Sunday but the pressure became too much and he limped home in 43. A final round 77 relegated him to tied 32nd. A far stronger player these days he could go well this week and a tied 16th in his last US Open is another good sign. He should also get good support from the New York crowds as he was born in the Big Apple. Although it's hard to see him winning it, a run of 14 successive cuts, including a top 20 last time, points to a good performance.
