Olazabal has always been regarded as a non-starter for those looking to back the winner of a US Open as his driving just isn't straight enough. But he's tightened up his act this year and enjoyed a sparkling run of form in the early months of the season. He won the Buick Invitational with a final round 65, added another victory in Europe and also finished fourth in the US Masters. Augusta is clearly his favourite Major track but three top 20s in the last five US Opens means he can't be written off. Although he says his driving has regressed in the past few weeks, Ollie's mental strength and dynamic short game - both vital tools at a US Open - means he could perform surprisingly well.
