Singh is a perennial threat in the Majors and is the only man to have won two in the Tiger era. The first came in the 1998 USPGA at Sahalee and he added a second at the 2000 Masters, confounding the critics who said his short game wasn't sharp enough to win at Augusta. He looked Tiger's biggest challenger at this year's Masters before shooting himself in the foot with a nine at the par five 15th. The Fijian workaholic, who has 10 US Tour titles to his name, has made the top eight in four of the last six US Opens so is clearly a threat. His closest brush with victory came in 1999 at Pinehurst where he just couldn't make the final push down the stretch and finished tied third. Surprisingly, he failed to make the weekend at last week's Buick Classic but his victory at the Honda Classic earlier this year came on the back of a missed cut so he won't be worried.
