Almost sneaked under the radar to become a 'major' winner when adapting his big-hitting game well to snatch the 2006 US Open off a traumatised Colin Montgomerie at Winged Foot. Three months earlier the Australian had beaten an elite field again in the WGC Accenture Match Play showing he can produce the shots when the chips are really down. His match play credentials were cemented when he lost in the final to Henrik Stenson this year's Accenture event and tied third at Doral last month. Was an eye-catching 16th on his Masters debut last year when he made the top 20 in all four 'majors'. Will not be inconvenienced by Augusta playing long or a white-hot showdown over the closing holes.
