US MASTERS PROFILE
With his 27th birthday come and gone, Sergio Garcia can no longer be regarded as the 'boy wonder' who many thought was a 'major' winner in making at the start of the century. The big prize has constantly eluded the mercurial Spaniard who would surely have won the 1999 USPGA Championship as a teenager if he as not had to go head-to-head with Tiger Woods over the final nine holes. His Masters record is not the best with only two top 10s in eight appearances but Garcia, like the great Seve Ballesteros, can shoot low anywhere if he is in the mood. And his morale should be high heading to Augusta after a tied third at Doral and tied fifth at Bay Hill last month.
