US MASTERS PROFILE

The Irishman is Europe's top golfer at the moment and his career took another step up the ladder when he finally notched a first win on the PGA Tour at the Honda Classic in March. He went eyeball-to-eyeball with Vijay Singh and came out on top after a play-off and perhaps that could be the catalyst for him to start turning those numerous second places into victories. One dark cloud so far in 2005 has been the health of his father and the Dubliner could yet sit out the season's first Major if that unfortunate situation does not take a turn for the better.
