WOODS HALFWAY IN NICKLAUS CHASE
Tiger Woods has reached the halfway point in his pursuit of Jack Nicklaus's
record 18 majors - and has done it quicker than the 'Golden Bear'.
Nicklaus's ninth major came at the 1971 US PGA, his 40th major as a
professional. Woods was playing his 33rd at Augusta this weekend.
Nicklaus was 31 years old at the time of his ninth major, while Woods is not
30 until the end of December.
