 US MASTERS QUOTES

Day Four - April 11

Phil Mickelson (69): "I kept saying to myself all day that this would be my day. Even when I heard Ernie's eagle on 13, when I heard the roar and knew what had happened, I kept believing something was going to happen and this would be it. It was just an amazing feeling. Having had so tough a quest to win, it feels even better now that I finally have."

Ernie Els (67): "I played well, but Phil beat me. That's how it goes. I hit some really good shots and played the back nine as well as I ever have. It was fun, but intense and it's hard to explain right now how I feel. I just had a sense this was my year."

Justin Rose (71): "It was a rollercoaster week, but all in all a good week. I learnt a lot. The third round cost me winning a major, but maybe you have to a lead a couple before you can win one. It was embarrassing enough to shoot 81, but I got a couple of comments about how I handled it and that was nice."
