US MASTERS PROFILE
Toms joined the upper echelon with a flood of US Tour wins in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It culminated in a first Major title at the 2001 USPGA and many believe more will follow. Toms has a couple of top tens at the Masters to his name but his chances don't look great this year. He missed the early part of the season after undergoing wrist surgery and despite a top five at Doral he has struggled since, missing his two most recent cuts at the Players Championship and the BellSouth Classic. It would be foolish to write Toms off this week but he may be a better bet in the other 2004 Majors.
