US MASTERS PROFILE
Beneath the almost constant smile lies a fierce competitor and Maruyama has established himself as a regular winner on the US Tour. He can boast a victory in each of the last three seasons and almost kept that record going in 2004 before being edged out by Mike Weir at the Nissan Open. Surprisingly, he hasn't really contended in a US Major before but after some excellent early season play this could be the week. He was tied 14th at Augusta two years ago so he could be an outsider with a live chance.
