US MASTERS PROFILE
Appleby has become one of the most accomplished players in the world and added the Mercedes Championship to his collection - the very first event on the PGA Tour in 2004. Renowned as an extremely determined competitor who rarely lets a winning opportunity slip by, it was a huge surprise to see him relinquish a four-shot advantage at Bay Hill last month. There are no doubts he has the attributes to make himself into a Major winner but will have to improve significantly on a pretty dreadful recent record at Augusta.
