Furyk has had a quiet start to the season, at one point having to take time out after an ear infection left him suffering dizzy spells. Anyone watching his trademark loopy swing might also feel dizzy although his unorthodox method hasn't stopped him becoming one of most consistent players in the majors over the last five years. He's done particularly well at Augusta where he's made the top 15 for the last four years and twice finished in the top six. On his second visit in 1998 he could even have won it but found water on 15 when set to throw down a big challenge. Even so he finished just two shots off winner Mark O'Meara. Although he missed the cut last time out, Furyk's top 15 in the Players Championship suggests his ability to rise to the big occasion is still intact.
