Love has performed superbly at Augusta over the years, recording two runners-up finishes and three other top sevens. Only inspired play by Ben Crenshaw in 1995 and Jose Maria Olazabal in 1999 have prevented him from slipping his arms into the famed green jacket and his big-hitting and touch around the greens have always made him a regular challenger here. But a complete loss of form this season, not helped by a neck disk problem which has troubled him over the last year, suggest Love won't be adding to his sole major title - the 1997 USPGA at Winged Foot. Love has missed five of his last eight cuts and sits way down in 88th place on the US Money List. Love doesn't believe he's a lost cause though and has hinted that his game is coming together again. Given his excellent US Masters record it could be foolish to completely dismiss him.
