Bjorn's demons resurfaced spectacularly in Ireland last week when he went into the final round with a four-shot lead but ended just 33rd after a nightmare final round 86 which included an 11 at the par four 17th. The Dane also blew victory in the 2003 Open at Sandwich when double bogeying the 16th when one-shot clear of Ben Curtis. On the plus side he was tied second the last time the Open was held at St Andrews and he's clearly got the game for links golf. If his fragile temperament can somehow recover in time, he could make a mark at the Old Course again.
