Day Three - July 17
Todd Hamilton (67 - 205): "This week it's a different style of golf, a style that I don't mind
playing. I enjoy playing ugly golf, I like to call it."
Ernie Els (68 - 206): "This is a helluva
leaderboard with quality players and some new guys that really want to break
through. It's set for quite a finish."
Phil Mickelson (67 - 207): "It's very nice to have a great chance now and going into Sunday the element
of the weather won't be as big a factor. If we get tough conditions everybody has to play and fight it out for the
championship."
Retief Goosen (68 - 207): "I scrambled very well on the back nine to keep my score alive today. Hopefully tomorrow I can putt for birdies instead of pars."
Thomas Levet (71 - 207): "At the moment I am the underdog. But maybe the underdog can come through."
Barry Lane (71 - 208): "I struck the ball beautifully, so I'll just forget about
those last two holes."
Tiger Woods (68 - 209): "Now I've got a fighting chance and hopefully I'll play just like I did today
and give myself some more looks and some putts."
Colin Montgomerie (72 - 210): Justin Leonard was a long way behind and he shot 65 on the final day to win
so why can't I?"
Lee Westwood (68 - 211): "I played very well and hit the ball well today in difficult
conditions. A 68 was as many as it could have been and if you'd offered me that at the
start I would have taken it."
Paul Casey (70 - 213): "The one thing I've been struggling to do is cut the ball and once again
today I had a rough start."
