THE OPEN PROFILE
Perry enjoyed a golden period in the mid part of 2003 when he won three tournaments - a surprise to many who thought that his best years were behind him. But renewed confidence allied to his excellent ball striking rocketed him right back in amongst the game's elite. He is a rare visitor to these shores but showed he could handle links conditions with an excellent top-10 effort at Sandwich 12 months ago. That was despite likening the course at Royal St George's to 'playing on the moon'.
