| The 1997 Open at Troon remains Leonard's only major but several times he's gone close to adding the USPGA crown. A return to the scene of his greatest triumph might inspire the affable Texan but he does need a boost of some description following three missed cuts on the bounce in the build-up. Leonard has not been around for the weekend on two of his last three starts in this event but just missed out at Carnoustie in 1999 and seems genuinely at home when it comes to playing links-style golf. |
