THE OPEN PROFILE
The Big Easy finally got his hands on the famous Claret Jug two years ago when coming out on top of a gripping four-man showdown in extra-time at Muirfield. He could never recover from a poor start at Royal St George's 12 months later but will be gunning for a big week once again on the back of another hugely consistent first half of the season. He posted a top 10 finish at Troon when the event was staged here in 1997 and that would be the minimum to expect from the world number two who has a superb record in the Open.
