THE OPEN PROFILE
Curtis secured his place in sporting history when the US Tour rookie emerged from nowhere to win the Open Championship in dramatic fashion at Royal St George's. It was his first start in any major yet he eclipsed some illustrious names to lift the Claret Jug and change his life forever. He has time to settle into life as a major champion with a five-year exemption and an eighth at the Memorial recently was his best effort since. We know he handles links golf but it would surely be one of the most remarkable sporting achievements if he were able to retain his title at Troon.
