  • Jim Furyk, playing alongside Brandt Snedeker, was looking for his first point
  • Furyk and Snedeker were taking on Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell in the anchor match
  • There was no stopping Bradley and he and Mickelson completed a 7&6 win over Donald and Westwood
  • Bradley and Mickelson's were all smiles afterwards relaxing in the company of Jillian Stacey and Amy Mickelson
  • Europe's captain Jose Maria Olazabal had plenty to ponder
  • Rose and Poulter fought back to earn Europe's first point of the day with a one hole victory over Simpson and Watson
  • Johnson and Dufner closed out a 2&1 success over Colsaerts and Garcia
  • McIlory's putter was cold but the final match still went down to the 18th green
  • But Furyk and Snedeker closed out a one hole victory to extend the United States' advantage to 8-4 overall
  • Davis Love III's pairings had once again worked a treat as the home side claimed their second 3-1 session in a row
