A pair of 66s saw Anna Grzebien and Meaghan Francella share the lead following the first round of the Hana Bank KOLON Championship in Incheon.
American duo Grzebien and Francella did not drop a shot with the latter picking up five of her six birdies over her final nine holes.
"I didn't hit the ball that great," said Francella. "I had the lefts going a little bit with my tee shot, so I scrambled a little bit on the front and shot one under.
"Then I just kind of played what I had on the back and I was able to shoot five-under. Overall I putted really well, so that saved me."
Grzebien said: "I was just steady all day. Obviously if you make no bogeys then you're just kind of playing the course right.
"I was conservative when I needed to be and being aggressive on some of the pin placements allowed me to do that. I just felt confident with the putter."
The duo head a group of six players by one shot which includes Scotland's Catriona Matthew and LPGA Tour rookie Vicky Hurst, who recorded a hole-in-one at the 175-yard par-three 12th.
