Ben highlighted the chances of Merrick Bremner at the SA Open in his preview earlier in the week and duly backed him at what he described as "silly" prices in both the outright and first-round leader markets.
Bremner duly shot an eight-under-par round of 64 to take a two-shot lead into the second round - and land a huge profit for our followers.
And, of course, Bremner is now well set to contend for the title for which Ben has tipped him up at 225/1. He was no better than 12/1 after his first-round efforts.
Allan Versfeld, another of Ben's outright tips, is also going well - he's five back after day one having been tipped up at 175s.
Ben wrote about Bremner in his ante-post preview: "Top-three finishes in two of his last three starts on the Sunshine Tour demonstrate that his game is in good shape and he might just be primed for a personal best finish in a co-sanctioned event.
"We've evidence that he likes the venue which makes him tempting enough at silly prices.
"The icing on the cake comes in the form of his victory at this very course on the IGT Challenge Pro Tour, one of the feeder Tours in South Africa."
It is far from a one-off success for Ben - he had a 100/1 winner in the form of Richie Ramsay at the Omega European Masters in September and earlier this month picked out Ian Poulter at 20/1 before he won the WGC-HSBC Champions event
Last month his colleague David John selected Branden Grace to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at 50/1 and the South African duly delivered with a wire-to-wire victory.
And prior to that Dave Tindall nailed the correct match score in the Ryder Cup - Europe winning 14.5 to 13.5 at odds of 11/1.
