| Justin Leonard finest moment came in this event back in 1997 at Troon when he came from off the pace with a closing 65 to lift the Claret Jug. He came within an ace of claiming another title when beaten in the four-man play-off at Carnoustie four years ago so is always a man to make a note of from the strong American contingent that makes the trip over. A winner earlier in the season at the Honda Classic, his last couple of outings have been a little disappointing but his consistent all-round game is hard to rule out when it comes to links-style golf. |
