| The big-hitting South African announced his arrival as a world force with his win in the US Open two years ago when he beat Mark Brooks in an 18-hole play-off. He splits his time between the United States and Europe with great success and has added two more wins (one on each Tour) to his portfolio since. Barely a week goes by without Goosen being in contention and one of his great strengths seems to be his adapatabilty - all events come alike to him and he seems able to produce whatever the requirements of the course. His record here in the past suggests that he must be a contender if bringing all elements of his game together over the four days though his withdrawal after one round at the Scottish Open with a recurring injury is a worry. |
