BRITISH OPEN PROFILE
A magical short game and a wonderful nerve are the perfect recipe to win Majors and they were the key elements in Ollie's two Masters wins in 1994 and 1999. His wayward driving has cost him the opportunity to seriously contend in the other Majors although he was third in the Muirfield Open in 1992 when he birdied five of the last 10 holes to get within two of winner Nick Faldo. He was also fifth at Muirfield in 1987, so obviously has fond memories of the Edinburgh course. However, he heads to this year's tournament in a woeful run of form after making a good start to the year. He has failed to make the top 30 in any of his last six events and in his last outing at Loch Lomond he failed to make the cut. However, it would take a brave man to completely rule him out of this year's tournament.
