USPGA PROFILE

The Englishman took over as European number one from Colin Montgomerie last season and has won all over the world during his brief career. Westwood missed the US Masters to attend the birth of his first child and the change of priorities and recent swing changes have left him struggling for form over the last few months. He recently missed four cuts from six tournaments and at the British Open looked a shell of the player we saw last season. Many people were indeed extremely worried about Westwood's lack of form with the Ryder Cup so close, and it was with great relief that he bounced back in the Scandinavian Masters to finish tied second, one shot behind winner Colin Montgomerie. Westwood played solid golf for the entire tournament and will now head to Atlanta with a lot more confidence. Has finished in the top twenty in his last two USPGA's, and will be looking to continue that trend this time around.
