OPEN PROFILE
One of the hardest workers in the game, Singh captured his first major at the 1998 US PGA and last year added the US Masters. He has a great chance of landing the third leg of a career grand slam this week which would be a remarkable achievement in the Tiger era. The Fijian played in Europe for seven years before switching to America so he can handle the conditions and knows how to flight his all lower in the wind. His Open record isn't great but he finished tied 11th at Lytham last time and on his form this year he's almost guaranteed to be lurking near the leaders. Amazingly, given the number of times he's put himself in position, his only wins this year came when the European Tour ventured to Malaysia and Singapore. Last month he closed with a 64 at the US Open to finish tied seventh and if he can get away to a good start he could take Tiger's title.
