Williams won the Brazilian Grand Prix and it's one of those seasons for Williams like the one before when they started late caught up with development and finished strongly.
But that's not really good enough and I think they realised that once Ferrari came out of the box in Melbourne two seconds quicker than everyone else, the writing was pretty much on the wall.
They have admitted throughout the season that they have done a good enough job.
You can even go back to Canada when they were thrown out for oversized brake ducts and there were also gearbox failures, all sorts of problems.
And they were beset by the problems with Ralf Schumacher's accident in the States.
But I maintain he had a very indifferent season and it was pepperred with contact with other drivers and it was poor overall.
Then other times he's grabbing pole position and you think what's going on.
The car was good in Brazil and Juan Pablo responded beautifully but the conclusion to that is that McLaren boss Ron Dennis said when you get to our team, you'll do even better.
The implication is that Williams haven't got the best out of him.
