Kimi Raikkonen has warned any prospective new team he will insist on a clause in his contract to go rallying should he opt to remain in Formula One.
Raikkonen faces his last race with Ferrari on Sunday with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as he makes way for the impending arrival of Fernando Alonso.
Although recent speculation has linked the 2007 world champion to a return to McLaren, Raikkonen insists his options are open, and that includes the prospect of pursuing his rallying career.
Raikkonen drove in his first World Rally Championship event during F1's summer break when he competed in his home round in Finland.
That whetted the 30-year-old's appetite for more, and if he is not offered a seat in F1 or fails to strike a deal, rallying is an area he would like to pursue.
Alternatively, should he remain in the sport, he is not going to give up on his love for rallying.
"I have a few different options and we will see what is the best one overall and then I will make my decision," said Raikkonen.
"Rallying is definitely one of them, but it is not just a choice between Formula One and rallying. There are other things I could do, so we will see what happens.
"But if I do stay in Formula One, I will have it in the contract that I'm allowed to do rallying. It's not going to hurt you.
"Any kind of driving is always going to give you some experience, so I don't see what's the issue.
"It worked well this year, so as long as it doesn't disturb what I do in Formula One or whatever I do, I don't see there's any problem."
Toyota are another team courting Raikkonen, however, he has made it clear they are not in the running.
As far as he is concerned, if he continues his F1 career it will be as Lewis Hamilton's team-mate at McLaren.
"Toyota has not even been discussed," added Raikkonen.
"If I want to drive F1 cars, then McLaren is the only option. I should know the situation in the next few days."
