Picture Jorgensen - doing well at Udinese (Allsport)

MARTIN JORGENSEN

Position: Midfielder
Born: 06.10.75
Club: Udinese

Martin Jorgensen started his playing career with AGF and after putting in a string of fine performances was made captain of the Danish under-21 team.

He forced his way into the senior squad just before France 98 and although he was not a regular in the side he still gained valuable experience that will put him in good shape for this year's tournament.

Since joining Serie A side Udinese he has flourished into a quality player, normally playing in defence or midfield on the left-hand side.

For the national team over recent months he has been used as an attacking midfielder or wing-back, and is seen by many as a player who will do a good job for the side without being outstanding.

His form for Udinese has again been impressive this season and it is rumoured that he could be on his way to Inter Milan after the finals in Korea and Japan.
