Little is known of Costa Rica coach Alexander Guimares, but his record so far is impressive.
Guimares took the post in January last year and has secured 11 victories in 19 games since.
That includes victories against the likes of Mexico, Jamaica and the USA as the Costa Ricans finished six points clear of Mexico at the top of the CONCACAF qualifying group.
To underline Guimares' impact on the side, they have risen from 55th to 26th in the FIFA rankings during his spell as national coach.
Guimares favours a 3-5-2 formation and encourages his side to attack as much as possible, taking advantage of Paulo Wanchope's presence up front.
With Brazil and Turkey in their group things look tough for the Costa Ricans this summer, but with Guimares' positive outlook the experience will stand them in good stead for future campaigns.
