special. It will be a good atmosphere and I hope it will be a good game" -
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson.
"Brazil's samba football is normally very nice to watch if they have the time
and space. What we have to do is play as we did against Argentina, be very
compact and very aggressive" - Eriksson.

the best players and the best teams. Playing against them will be a great game"
- England captain David Beckham.
"We have individuals who are very good in the final third and we have to
mention Ronaldo who by himself can take away two defenders" - Brazil coach Luiz
Felipe Scolari.
"It's almost a game that will decide the World Cup. A lot of people wanted a
Brazil-England final but here we are in the quarter-finals. It's a game with no
favourite" - Brazilian midfielder Rivaldo.
"All the players want to play against Brazil. It is a chance to prove
ourselves against the favourites and hopefully we can take it. It's the perfect
game" - England midfielder Paul Scholes.

England defender Rio Ferdinand.
"Brazil are the greatest nation in World Cup history, England the home of
football. This game would be worthy of the final itself" - Brazil legend Pele.

can more than match them" - England defender Danny Mills.
"The name Brazil might be enough to scare some people but we must not be
afraid. We must have the belief that we can stop them from scoring" - England

opposition and play our own football" - Brazil striker Ronaldo.
"Playing the likes of Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo and Ronaldo is what it is all
about and when you get to this stage of a World Cup you are going to play the
best countries. It is mouthwatering" - England defender Sol Campbell.
"Brazil have got some outstanding individuals, but individuals don't win
games. It's a team performance that we need" - England striker Teddy
Sheringham.
"Whoever wins this match has a great chance to be champions. We have the team
to beat them but we have to play excellent football. I don't think there is a
favourite though" - Brazil midfielder Juninho.
"I believe our defence is strong and we will be able to stop them. We have
the special skills to win the game" - Rivaldo.
"What a time for England to play Brazil. They are not as dominant as they
have been in the past and what a time to win the World Cup. Apart from England,
Brazil are my favourite world team because I love the way they play football.
They are so exciting, they have always got the best players playing for them" -
England midfielder Kieron Dyer.
"It is always a pleasure to see Brazil play football. If you give them the

more" - England striker Emile Heskey.

you dream of" - England 1966 World Cup winner Sir Bobby Charlton.

ordinary ones. We can certainly beat them. The key will be our strikers because
the present Brazilian defence at times is a shambles" - former England
international Francis Lee.
